About this Course
Today innovation is everyone's business. Whether you are a manager in a global corporation, an entrepreneur starting up, in a government role, or a teacher in an elementary school, everyone is expected to get lean – to do better with less. And that is why we all need design thinking. At every level in every kind of organization, design thinking provides the tools you need to become an innovative thinker and uncover creative opportunities that are there – you're just not seeing them yet.
In this course, they provide an overview of design thinking and work with a model containing four key questions and several tools to help you understand design thinking as a problem solving approach. They also look at several stories from different organizations that used design thinking to uncover compelling solutions.

The total duration of the course is approximately 6 hours.
Course syllabus
First Week : What Is Design Thinking?
In this unit, you will learn about the meaning of design thinking and the reasons that make it more effective than traditional methods in the processes of innovation. You will study the types of challenges that are most appropriate for design thinking and learn about visual imaging tools that help bring ideas to life.
Second Week : Preparing Your Mind for Innovation
Design thinking is not limited to processes and tools only, but also relates to the people you want to create value for and with them, so the focus in this unit will be on the way you think and whether your mind is ready to seize opportunities when they appear in your business, in addition to learning about storytelling tools and how to use them .
Third Week : Idea Generation
Fourth Week : Experimentation
Fifth Week : Final Assignment
This module hosts materials related to your final assignment for the course. The assignment requires selecting one of the design thinking tools presented in the course, writing a reflection, and completing three peer reviews. To successfully complete the course, you must complete and pass the final assignment.
